MONDAY MOTIVATION: Getting Unstuck

Updated: Mar 13, 2022

By Pastor René François

Today is a new day rich with possibilities to make a new beginning. Now is the perfect time to cast off yesterdays baggage of limiting beliefs and negative self-talk in order to successfully forge ahead. Have negative internal dialogues and a lack of self-confidence prevented you from taking the first step forward? Negative self-talk can be a roadblock to doing your best, pursuing your dreams, and enjoying life. On the other hand, positive self-talk can spur you on to do great things and to live a fulfilling life of joy and abundance! Motivation to move forward isn’t always easy to come by. Sometimes, when we’re feeling stuck it requires digging down deep within ourselves and resolving to take the first step whether we feel like it or not. It is said, “The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you’re not going to stay where you are.”

So, how do you find the motivation that you need to move forward when you’re stuck and can’t muster the emotional or spiritual fortitude to dig out of the pit that has been preventing you from living the joyful and abundant life that you deserve? The best motivation known to mankind can be found in the word of God. Realize that no matter how hard or how far you may have fallen, with God‘s help you can, and will, get back up, dust yourself off and forge on to victory. Proverbs 24:16 states, “For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.”

You can do this! Powered by the Spirit that dwells within you, you can get up, get past the mental road blocks and once again continue on the path to pursuing your dreams and enjoying your life. It is possible, because with God all things are possible! In Mark 9:23, Jesus said, “All things are possible for one who believes.” Therefore, let your belief outweigh yesterdays baggage and the limiting beliefs that say “I can’t.“ Let your belief outweigh the negative self-talk that says “I’m not good enough or I’m not worthy.” It is time to put everything that has been holding you back behind you, for today is a new day rich with possibilities to make a new beginning.

Starting today, visualize yourself as being the confident and victorious person that you truly want to be. See yourself living the joyful and abundant life that you desire and that God created you to live. Visualize the future that you will enjoy by becoming unstuck from your present circumstances. Take a few moments to write down the vision that you have for your life. Studies have shown that we are far more likely to achieve our goals when we write them down. And, lastly, read and meditate on Scriptures that most closely pertain to your situation. Do this daily, including first thing in the morning when you awake and at night just before going to sleep. Visualizing yourself already in the circumstances that you desire as well as being able to read the vision and speak God’s word over your life are crucial to climbing out of the negativity pit and moving in a positive direction toward your goals, dreams and desires.

There’s nothing more powerful in the life of the believer than the word of God. And faith, visualized, written, and spoken is like supercharging your belief because when you do this you are getting the word of God and the new positive vision that you have of yourself and your life deep into your subconscious. The subconscious has a powerful influence over many of the positive and negative ways that we think about ourselves, which in turn play out in our lives on a daily basis in ways that we are often not even aware of. Visualizing, writing the vision so that we can read it daily and speaking God’s word over our lives on a regular basis is a way of reprogramming our subconscious. Once the word of God, coupled with the positive vision that you have for your life takes root in the subconscious, you will begin to see changes occurring in your life. And know that this is possible because, again, with God all things are possible!🕊💕
